Chair of Directors

Colin Beech’s initial academic background was in Economics followed by his professional qualification in social work. After fieldwork experience, he went on to achieve his Master’s Degree in Managing and Developing Community Services. Colin has 35 years experience in local authority services, including 15 years as a senior manager. Until his retirement from the post in October 2010, Colin was the Service Director for Adult Care in Rochdale.

Colin’s specialist knowledge and interests include:

• organisational change
• managing within the mixed economy of service provision
• joint working across agencies particularly with NHS commissioners and providers
• user involvement in planning and evaluating service provision.
